ReachCentrum and TNO are offering a series of training courses on the Advanced Reach Tool (ART). The ART provides a cost-effective higher tier worker exposure assessment approach for all scenarios where safe use could not be demonstrated in the first tier. The scientific work has been extensively reviewed by more than 10 independent experts from across Europe.

The tool is freely available. ART enables users to assess occupational exposure to dust, vapours and mists. The use of ART as a higher tier exposure assessment tool is described in ECHA’s updated REACH guidance, but ART can of course also be used in other contexts (e.g. chemical agent directive).

In this training course you will experience how ART provides a structured methodology for higher tier worker exposure assessments. This is a hands-on, interactive program where you can ask questions throughout, and where you will work on exercises for various substance and exposure scenarios and use the results in a chemical safety report.

The training addresses professionals interested in compiling the CSR, service providers, REACH managers, experts in (regulatory) worker exposure assessment working for industry, (inter-)national governmental organizations, and research organizations.

After participating in the course you will be able to:

• Understand the underlying inhalation exposure algorithm;
• Interpret the results of your assessment in an appropriate manner;
• Use ART in your daily practice without assistance;
• Place the results in the context of current chemical laws and regulations.
